Hi Coach. New to the channel. Own a 2019 RT Limited and was contemplating buying the 2024 sea to sky for a few months and sell the 2019. Watched the “seat of the pants” video on it and was sold ! Picked up my new sea to sky yesterday. This thing is unbelievable.! Thanks for all the spyder info.

Our 2012,which is a 5sp, running 70ish mph, I'm only getting around 25mpg. But I'm running the hills on interstate 68 in western Maryland. I'm turning around 5100 rpm

Looking at Spyder's now. They have huge discount on 23 sea to sky models. Is there really a big difference from 23 model to 24 model?

They need to do something with the engine it requires an update going from 60 to 80 is strenuous for the engine

I'm one of those few your son is speaking of. I've never rode a 2 wheeler. The Spyder is my first open air vehicle. Can Am made the Ryker for younger segment. He should test ride one of those.

Coach Bob, Thank you for showing us how to change a headlight on the spyder an thanks for telling us that you should not touch the Halogen bulb. Beautiful trip and story. This is first I've watched your UA-cam channel and watched all 4. I am hoping to be able to do a trip similar across our Beautiful country. I may be getting back surgery soon and wife and I bought a 2012 spyder rt limited that only had 5,300mi on it. So hopefully next spring, we can plan our spyder adventures.

Whether in a car or on my Spyder, I try to give the other driver the benefit of the doubt. For all I know,, they may be rushing due to an emergency. I’ll pull over or turn off. This saves everyone’s sanity. They’re not blocked and I get to continue in peace. This was a long time coming, to be sure. 😬

I just picked up a 2024 spyder rt. Traded my 23 HD Freewheeler . Watching your videos prior to my purchase sure helped me a lot. I drove it off from the dealer. My husband was the passenger, lol. When I took off it was funny cause it had a little more power than I expected , good thing my husband was holding on to the grips. I got on the road and sure enough I was feeling the steering sway you mentioned in your video. Sure enough when I relaxed and lighten my grip it stopped and was smooth sailing. My husband said he was surprised I did so good for my first time on the spyder. I love it. Can't wait for our first short trip on the 2 lane. Not quite ready for highway riding just yet. Now that my husband has riden it he is sold on it. Thank you CoachBob3 for all your videos , I researched for a while before we bought this spyder and I'm so glad I did. Happy wife happy life lol. Now we are both happy.

I think this generation of Spyder is the best. My 21' RTL Marsala just hit 18k a while ago. Never had belt vibration on my 21' RTL, my old 15' RTS had terrible vibration at certain speeds.

In April my wife and I were riding our 2018 RTL. While sitting at a light we were hit. No injuries but the machine was totaled. Our insurance paid out very well and we were able to purchase a new blue 2024 RTL. I loved the 2018 but this 2024 is a vast improvement.

Just a tip, I always use a padlock on my trailer instead of a pin. My reason is that a lock won’t fail. A pin probably won’t but weird things happen. My cousin was almost killed due to a trailer popping off a ball and crossing a highway and hitting her head on. The driver of the tow vehicle had a pin with clip in the proper position however it did fail, it was on a small chain so it was still on the tow vehicle after the accident. Being overly safe never hurt anyone. Thanks for the great videos!!

Man, told the wife once they add AppleCar play into the bike- I'd trade my 2022 Sea To Sky in for it. I love this color, LOVE the brown accents.. but sadly the trade in value is just too low. So tempted since I want that screen and updated buttons- they seem SO much better. I love my bike- but the upgrades seem on point.

It reminds me when I was working as a delivery driver for family bakery!(1996), I was so overconfident driving in the snow to the point that would break and do aggressive maneuvering and still be able to stop in straight line without sliding left or right, until suddenly one early morning snowy day, I was driving normal, nothing stupid like hard breaking or oversteering and I ended up on the dich by side of the road, thankfully with minor Van damage and no injures.

The very first thing I noticed was how much clearer the display is over your 2019.

Had my 24 STS for little over a month, wife and I love it. What camera and mount are you using above the dash?

what would be interesting is to compare stoping distances between the Spyder RTL and an HD TriGlide. and a tad better than your 2019. is the tire size on the 19 and 23 the same?

Would you trade Casper for that one?

My ‘18 ltd had a belt whine at certain speeds but my ‘21 Sea to Sky I haven’t noticed a noise or any vibration

If you are cruising along singing a song don’t you need to be side by side?

Does it need the pedal commander to overcome the lag in throttle when you first turn the throttle?

I would like to see them put a drive shaft on them so that they can run on roads with gravel

Coach Bob, does this bike have the baja ron ultimate sway bar set up w links and laser alignment?.. it's a must have.,mine does,,it makes a difference..as can am does not align at the factory..fact

Thanks for the update and so quickly as I know you get a lot of questions. I can’t even stream music from my iPhone yet, it used to work and then I tried to download an update and it stopped working. Hi Coach. Beautiful machine. Had the opportunity to do a 30-40 minute test ride on the S2S last April and really liked it. Love the new dash but very bummed out they can’t get CarPlay to work. Only thing holding me back from trading my 18. I definitely felt a quicker throttle response and brakes were great. We rode two up and the wife loved it and we both thought the seat was very comfortable over our 18RTL.f Didn’t care for the back rest but perhaps it was the adjustment. Storage is great. Can you give us any update on CarPlay. No one seems to know and last heard it is on hold indefinitely. Look forward to your tests and comparisons. Thanks for all your insights. God Bless. My wife has a 23 S2S. It rides and handles well and better than my 22 RTL. Both are fun to ride.

One thing you didn’t talk about or even check that I’m curious to know is if the Apple Carplay is working on the S2S that they sent you as I’m still waiting for the update myself. I’m guessing it doesn’t work but if you could check when you get a chance and let me know it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and I look forward to more from you.

I have ridden and raced motorcycles all my life and was thinking of getting a nice Goldwing to do some traveling now that I'm retired but was following my brother -in -law on his Goldwing and when he turned into a gas station to get gas he hit that little V shaped mound of gravel in the middle of where cars turn in and out of the lot and his front tire slid out from under him. We like to have never got it back on it's wheels. Right then The Spyder came to mind as the one for me.

Just another note on the design you might not be aware of. I just drove home through a rain storm. I quickly noticed there are panels in front of the floor boards that push air out to the base of the front fender, which has the rain pushed away from the rider. No tire slop blowing back on either the driver or passenger. 2022 Sea to Sky, love it!

Two of my local dealers have these in stock. Have had for a while. Lol. Not worth going from a 2020 to a 2024 imo with no Apple CarPlay.

How the seat feels compare to your 2019 Spyder.

I bought a 2021 Spyder Roadster in Fall '2023. It's my, "Big Blue Machine" and has all the coolest upgraded heated seats, grips, compartments, ph holder, new rear tire. I have loved it. I really wanted to rent one but that wasn't possible in MA. I have had my fill and have it up for sale as of today.

I got my 2024 RTStoS a week ago. Thanks for all of your educational, fun, and well-edited videos. Here in Arizona it’s even hotter than Florida, which leads to a question: the windshield is TOO GOOD! Even in the lowest position I get little to no air on my upper body and face. Is there an aftermarket small WS available?
